From the lush highlands of Nandi, Pundamilla is a washed Kenyan coffee from smallholder farmers, expertly processed at Kapsasur. While officially graded as C, this lot shines far beyond its classification — delivering the juicy acidity, vibrant red fruit, and crisp, structured cup we cherish in top Kenyan coffees. It’s worth noting that Kenya’s letter grades refer to bean size, not cup quality, and Pundamilla is a brilliant example of a C-grade lot that punches well above its weight. With SL28, SL34, Ruiru II, and Batian varieties in the mix, the clarity and complexity here are simply outstanding. This is one of the farms we’ve worked together with on a direct basis, allowing us to understand their practices and strengthen our direct connection. By sourcing these smaller beans alongside larger graded beans, we help ensure farmers earn fair premiums for their entire harvest — buying with intention matters.
